Morpheus has decided he is no longer going to take human lovers. He will change his mind again, the next time he meets a pretty mortal girl - or boy. But for now, he is determined. No more mortals. It always ends badly.

That it seems to end equally badly when he takes an immortal lover has not occurred to him.

Now, once again, he has his sights set on one of the Fair Folk. But not Queen Titania - this time he wants one considerably less lovely.

Morpheus wants the king's pet, Robin Goodfellow. And he will get him.

The Corinthian has gone on one last revenge mission. He does not have the sanction of the being that was once Daniel Hall, and he knows he risks being unmade for taking this upon himself, but he feels the need to do it anyway, for the one who first created him.

The Corinthian has already taken Loki's eyes. Now he will track down the other whose actions led, however indirectly, to Morpheus' death. He will find the Puck. He will incapacitate him, but not kill him, and he will eat his eyeballs in his presence.

And he will enjoy it.

Have you read The Dreaming: Gates Of Horn And Ivory, by any chance? I just keep thinking about the Corinthian story in that, that Caitlin R Kiernan wrote. Your style seems similar there.

I rather liked the second Corinthian. The bit where he asked Matthew why he didn't like him just made me go "awwwww!"...

Me too. It also made me try and slash the two of them. Instinctive slashing is baaaad.
