Okay, so.

Last night, I have a Millichat with various people, talking among other things about the habit cats have of bringing home little trophies as presents.

This morning, I go into the kitchen to empty the dishwasher and there's a small dead rodent on the floor. Fortunately at the other end of the room from the lightswitch, so there was no icky treading on anything, but still. This is the first time this has happened to my knowledge in months.

I think the universe is laughing at me.
