Can anyone recommend any good books or articles on either abuse of human rights by multi-nationals, or on the right to protest and recent legislation restricting it?

I've got two extended essays to write, and I need as much material as I can get.

Would this drabble actually benefit from being expanded into a full-length fic? Or should I leave it as it is, short and simple?

I've got about two paragraphs into writing the fic proper, and I already think it sucks. So should I persevere and see what my betas can make of it, or not? I hate to just abandon the story now it's begun, but I want it to be good, too...
