Kate has been lonely since her husband died. She's had men, here and there over the years. It was Chaucer, last month, before she knew he was married. But by and large, she's been alone.
If truth be known, and she had the luxury of choosing, her preference would not be for men. Oh, she loved her husband, of course she did, and she misses him more than she can say, but… she married for convenience, at the beginning.
She thinks perhaps now, she can follow the path her heart would have her take. Princess Jocelyn's handmaiden - Christiane? Is that her name? - has been giving her the most intriguing looks lately.
Kate thinks she might visit the royal tent tonight, while milady is with Will. There are possibilities to be explored.
