Here you go, Eilan! I'm not sure the ending works as well as it could, but I don't really know how to make it better...
***********************
Irma stays inside. She has resigned from the Quidditch team and now she hides in the dusty dark of the library, trying not to think about blue skies and speeding brooms.
Xiomara stays away from that room as much as she can. When she can't avoid it any longer, she leaves as quickly as possible, and tries not to notice that she's being watched from the corner.
They both remember racing for the Snitch, just for the joy of it. They remember getting drunk, and ending up kissing in the changing room. And they remember the tears that came later.
Xiomara is truly sorry, of course, but it would never have worked out. She misses their friendship, that's all.
Irma didn't cry because she knew the friendship was over, although that was part of it. She cried because she knows it could have been love.

Thank you so much. I needed that.
