You know, as a Pagan I don't know whether to be offended or to be amused that I'm suddenly part of some conspiracy to send the world somewhere I don't believe actually exists.
Next time maybe I'll vote for sending the world to Disneyland instead.
Um, Kate? All that story says is that a religious nut posted a letter to the President on his website. D'you know how many letters like that there probably are out there? All I get from this is "slooooooow news day."
Yeah, I guess. What worries me is that I wouldn't trust Bush not to approve of the contents of it, even if his people won't let him go quite as far as sending an official response.
While I kind of agree with you, I have to say that Bush would have to be on crack to listen to anything that Bob Jones has to say. Coming from a conservative (read: liberal to the Southerners) background, and having spent two years in a conservative Southern Baptist school in Dallas, Bob Jones is not someone anyone should ever listen to. Ever. If Bush does anything similar to what Jones is asking him to, it will probably be on the advice of someone more authoritative.
As a side note, I like how the spokesman in the article says that Jones wasn't saying that voting for Kerry was anti-Christian and all that crap about painting people with a broad brush. Because, quite frankly, if I'm to understand things properly that's exactly the sort of thing Jones does...
