Someone remind me why I even bother posting my stuff at FF.net anymore. This is the latest "review" of the multiple Smiths drabble, from Bagheera:

I must be at the wrong site. I thought it said "fanfiction" not "10 Sentences
that allegedly have a purpose"

Charming, isn't it? Fucker. Fortunately, it's anonymous so I can delete it.

FF.net - y'always get pissy reviews for drabble. People there don't seem to understand the concept.

Maybe if you write 'drabble' in all caps in the summary? *shrugs* People will always assume that quantity means quality. Send them my way. I'll point them to some of the fics I attempted to read today...*eg*

The thing I did when uploading two drabbles was that I wrote '155 words' into the summary. That seemed to scare them all off.

I think I'm going to go and edit all the summaries to try and hammer it into their thick heads that these are supposed to be short.

That's probably for the best. I love drabbles, but some poeple just don't get it...

>:o

Doesn't anyone know the definition of drabble? I mean, come on...

[identity profile] carmarthen.livejournal.com 2003-05-26 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and yet not many people complained about the vast original fic sections when they were there (they did get spun off, right?)...funny, that.

I've been at ff.net for ages, but theres so many idiots now, and stories/fanfictions that haven't even been edited or proofread... The quality is nil. And then you get idiots like that person and it makes it all barely worth your time.

Good God some people are ignorant.

I'm not a fan of drabbles myself, but it is a recognised literary form in fandom. Morons.

*disgusted*

Dear Anonymous Reviewer...

Dear Anonymous reviewer,

Your mistake is quite acceptable. Misreading appears to be quite the common affliction around here.

For instance I thought that 'it' said 'review' not 'words strung together that allegedly have a purpose'.

I urge you to use that machete.

And she must have been on the wrong site - it was ff.net(!)

Please, look up the literary definition of 'drabble' and stop parading your ignorance.

For pete's sake...I hardly have anything to do with any fandom, yet I know what a drabble is. *sighs* Some people...
