Just come back from my third viewing of X-Men, and I have questions.

Who was the boy Wolverine talks to before he sees Bobby, who was changing the TV channels by blinking? The one who's the first to get drugged by the soldiers? I figure since they gave him actual powers, he's probably a named character from the comics, but I don't know who.

Isn't Colossus supposed to be Russian? How come he sounded American?

Is Artie the one who doesn't speak, but communicates by making pictures in the air and on walls and stuff? Or was that Leech?

Which one was Dazzler? Was she even in it?

And where have I seen the boy playing Bobby's little brother before? His name's James Kirk and I swear I recognise him from somewhere, but I can't place him.

Oooh, thanks for pointing that out. I noticed that, too. Well I've found out where *I* know him from - he was in an episode of Dark Angel.

I can't anwser all the questions but here's a Couple of answers:

Well I read the Movie Adaption Novel and His name is Jones, I dunno if they ever named his power or not.

The little boy with the forked tongue is Artie and don't think they ever said what his powers were in the movie or in the book.

Artie is the one who cannot speak, but projects mental images.

And Leech is a Morlock.

Yes, he is Russian in the comics, and I was wondering about the American accent as well. I charitably decided to ascribe it to his having left his home country a long time ago. A cute little thing they did add in though is that in the comics he is an artist, thus you see him drawing that little comic in the movie:)

If she was in it, she didn't show off her powers. I only spotted Jubilee, Siryn, Colossus and Kitty/Shadowcat amongst the students. I've been racking my brain all day trying to remember if the kid with the blue tongue is anyone I've heard of.

All I can answer is that the blinky kid is named Jones, and they never said what his mutation was in the comics. Some people think he's an alien, but then some people were rather drunk at the time.

And I think Artie was tongue guy.
